The distinction which Dr. Gardner need to discuss with me waa mainly that between fibrous and particulate asbestos duet, vherees Dr .Xing and his colleagues refer to long end short fibres. Just what they wean b y these designations is not clear from the abstract and I find that we do sot hare the original paper. King waa here last summer for an extended stay and I am sure that this was one of the sany subjects on which he and Dr. Gardner exchanged notes, though the paper was probably submitted for publication be fore Xing left fiogland. The togliah experience with regard to tuberculosis among worker* exposed to asbestos dusts has not been duplicated in our American plants. 2.
