Dr. Smith's resignation will further delay the comple tion of this work and we will advise you of a new target date as soon as possible. 2. Dr. A. J. Vorwald - Wayne University, Detroit Dr. Vorwald advised me Wednesday, February 1, that the review of animal tissue and collection of data was nearing completion. I requested that he submit promptly a formal research proposal in order that we might arrange for payment for this work. The research to date has been done on the basis of verbal commitment. 3. national Insulations Manufacturers Association I will review the matter of Johns-Manville representation on the Safety and Health Committee with Messrs. Jobe and Burleson, and the N. I. M. A. officers. 4. u. S. Public Health The summary of research currently being conducted by individuals and groups throughout the country has not been completed.
