Re: Interim report of refractory demolition in CCU-2 regenerator.
Dear Chuck:
To evaluate airborne fiber levels during demolition of refractory in the CCU-2 regenerator, air samples were cc!1cc-.ju on October 10, 1935. The results of .the personal anc area air samples taken v/ere 1.23 and 1.05 fibers per cubic centimeter.(f/cc; . These levels are less than the OSKA asbestos standard o: 2.0 f/cc. However, the use of respiratory protection and protective clothing should continue for the duration of the project.

The fiber samples received on October 10, 1935, were analysed ir. acc-jrduvice with the HIOSH asbestos fibers in air procedure, method number PtC All 239. The results of our analysis for c-irborue fibers are summarised below:
