Matthew A. Taylor Division Manager Ethyl Corporation 123 South Broad Street Philadelphia, Bemia.
Dear Mr. Taylor:
I -wish to quote In substance a report from our Manager at Barnesboro, Panna. regarding one of our dealer accounts as follows:
"Mr.
of Mahaffey fell over while at work in his
garag^Tn^other lay, later he reported to his local doctor
and the doctor advised him that it was a heart condition and
that It was the result of lead poisoning. The doctor stated
that the lead entered his body through his nose, ears, eyes,
etc. and that It was affecting his heart beats." This
report further states that our Manager recommended to Mr.
Nuntz that he use clear gasoline for cleaning parts, which
more or less indicated thatthis garage man has been using
leaded gasoline for cleaning parts, which of course is out
of order.
I thought you would like to have this information to pass on to your people, and if there is any further report you would like to have us get for you, please let me know as we are very glad to cooperate.
With best regards, I am,
Very truly yours,
STERLING OIL DIVISION
