OECD Survey on Hazard and Fate Assessments of PFAS conducted by National Authorities or Internet As part of the work on PFAS at the OECD, it was agreed to survey countries to identify where hazard or fate assessments for PFAS have been conducted by national authorities or intergovernmental organisations. This will help to inform assessment or management of PFAS in different countries, identify collaboration opportunities and ideally reduce duplication of activities. It could also aid in understanding of grouping approaches to PFAS that have been used in assessment. This survey is being carried out under both the Working Party on Hazard Assessment (WHPA) and the OECD/UNEP Global PFC Group (now under the provision of the new Working Party on Risk Management) Instructions: Who: This survey applies to national authorities, the EU and international organisations What: Complete the tab 'Table of Assessed PFAS' to indicate for which PFAS a hazard (human health or ecological) and/or environmental fate assessment has been conducted and submit this to the OECD secretariate. When: Deadline of 17 June 2021 to send to Ilona Janus ( oecd.org) Essential Tips: Use the OECD PFAS List as a resoure of identified PFAS including names and identifiers. Also, if your assessment was part of a group assessment indicate if this grouping aligns with the structure categories of the OECD PFAS List and indicate the structure category number.
