COOKING ON THE GRANDE SCALE--
ERE is a major production center--an industrial kitchen at U.S. Airforce Finance Center, Denver, serving a large employee cafeteria. Here the noise that is normal to large scale food preparation is minimized with a perforated metal pan type acoustical ceiling. Above them are pads of sound absorbent mineral wool resting on wire racks. This ceiling is highly sound absorbent and easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Pans may be removed and replaced easily if work on plumbing or utilities above the ceiling is necessary. They are available with enameled surface or, on special order, in aluminum.
