DuPont Company P.O.Box 22066 Houston, Texas 77027 Dear Mr. Pugh: In our conversation today I told you that we had not received your letter. The problem that we are interested in is one pertaining to Watchung Red Y pigment. I have been using this dye for a period of many months studying the inflammatory reaction which occurs in the subcutan eous tissue of mice, rats and rabbits. This is a part pf our project in the study of inflammation. This dye was selected because of the fact that it does not dissolve in water, the particle size, and it is demonstra ble in the cells in the inflammatory reaction. This product is used only in experimental work and has nothing to do with problems referable to the Food and Drug Commission. I would like to have any information you have referable to this product. I am interested in the electric charge that it may have since we are interested in phagocytosis related to the electric phenomena. At the present time I have an adequate amount of the dye for study, Should we need it in future experiments, please let me know where it could be obtained. Thanks for this information.
