Our f i r s t approach to th e war problem was base d on what we had le arne d fro m the p e rm e a b ility proble m, supporte d by the Lead In d u s trie s As s o cia tio n , and proved o f conside rable value in working out the e ffe c t o f shock on the p e rm e a b ility o f body c e l l s .
