Summary Fuhrznaa gave a rundown on performance of B. F.'Goodrich vinyl chloride monomer in their plant. They were quite pleaeed at how well the Goodrich monomer ran in their operation. They told ua they would be glad to receive this monomer from us on a regular baeia. 1 questioned Fuhrman (who formerly worked for U. S. Rubber, Naugatuck Division) about the high methanol content in the VCM. He pointed out that B. F. Goodrich distills their VCM from methanol in their purification system to keep tha heavy ends under control. The presence of the methanol did not affect their polymerization even though they kept a close check on how the material ran. Other details of this call srs covered in R. T.
