a lotronicd OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS SEIAS VAFE-SORBERS SERIES HI INSTALLATION: The Selae Vape-Sorber is an in-line type of filter and should be mounted in a vertical position, directly in any horizontal run of compressed air or gas line, making certain that the direction of flow through the unit Is correct. The lower connection on the vessel side is the Inlet Nozzle. (Refer to assembly drawing for location.) -v For draining the unit on intermittent service, a valve and dropleg are suitable, but when the service is continuous, the use of a compressed air trap is recommended. -*> k' It is recemended that the Vape-Sorber be installed as near as possible to the point of use of the air or gas to minimize condensation beyond the unit. - If this is not possible, the unit should be located at a low point, cool point, or other location of maximum condensation or liquid collection. The Vape-Sorber should never, under any conditions, be Installed at the compressor, not should it be exposed to freezing conditions. After installati on, but before initial use of the unit, the carbon bed and after filter assemblies should be removed and examined. Refer to the maintenance instructions for proper procedure. When reassembling, make certain all gaskets are in place and threaded connections are tight. OPERATION: I In the first stage of the Vape-Sorber, the vet air or gas entering is stripped of liquid water*- winr-oll emulsions, free oil in droplet form and entrained solid "Exstractor Section."
