Regulations Contractors shall comply with the requirements of the EPA National Enission Standards for Asbestos, and the OSHA regulations on asbestos. Section 1910.1001 (and any applicable State and local government regulations) which are incorporated by reference. Hark cannot commence until appropriate notification of regulatory agencies ia coaplete. 2. Scope of Work A. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, services, insurance, and equipment necessary to carry out the removal operation, in accordance with EPA and OSHA regulations and any applicable State and local government regulations. B. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining approval for a waste disposal site in compliance with 40 CPR Section 61.25 of the EPA regulations and appropriate state regulations. C. Contractors shall post the EPA and OSHA regulations (and any applicable State and local government regulations) at the job site. 3. Worker Protection A. The contractor shall provide workers with approved respirators. The contractor shall provide a sufficient quantity of filters approved for asbestos so that workers can change filters during the work day. Filters shall not be used any longer than one (1) work day. The respirator filters shall be stored at the job site in the change room and shall be totally protected from esposure to asbestos prior to their use. B. Workers shall always wear a respirator properly fitted on the face in the work area. C. Contractors shall instruct and train workers in proper respirator nse. 0. Workers shall wear disposable, full-body coveralls and disposable head covers and footwear in the work area. Footwear may be disposable. Ron-disposable footwear shall be left in the work area at all times until disposal at job completion. E. The contractor shall set up a change room and a shower outside of the work area. LLA 000968
