Drug Delivery Devices Device drug delivery systems include but are not limited to prefillable syringes, self-injection systems, safety and shielding devices, and inhalers. The device/device component enables the targeted delivery or controlled release of a pharmaceutical drug into the body. They are regulated by their own regulations and standards (they are not registered as medical devices, are not CE marked, but regulated under Medicinal Product Directive as they are considered as medical device components of drug device combination products) and are not to be considered as packaging.
