This project will provide an oxygen analyzing system on the inert vent feed to the incinerator. This will enable plant personnel to monitor oxygen content in the recovered vinyl chloride receivers. Problem Description Inerts which build-up in the recovered vinyl chloride receivers are vented to the incinerator. This vent stream is primarily nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and vinyl chloride. However, as a result of air leakage into the recovery system enough oxygen could get into the receivers to create an explosive mixture. With the installation of the oxygen analyzer the operator will be alerted to an increase in oxygen level before it reaches a hazardous condition.
