1. Autoclave Disc Ruptures.
(a) Effect of ch arge size -- Data in dicates in cr ease in frequency of late
but includes^ case s of known instrument trouble and operator e r r o r .

(b) IEffect of non-condensibles - TML - Data w as presen ted to show that . autoclave p r essu r e r ise s m ore rapidly if 'clave is "kicked" with nitrogen
than if not kicked. Th is would aggravate problem with disc rupture at , feedoff. It w as noted that the four units with triple sn iff r ate at the j st ar t (rath er than double rate) have had no d isc ruptures at feedoff. It w as decided to proceed immediately to put all units on triple Sniff and adjust MeCl feed to compensate for in creased sn iff if needed to con trol final reaction m ass tem perature.
2. Hugged Drop Legs
(a) | Flush ing of droplegs seem s to have made a m arked improvement in "C" building sin ce it w as star ted.
(b) "D" building TML droplegs ar e also being flush ed and none'have plugged to date. One of th ese units h as a new Teflon -coated dropleg and the oth er five were thoroughly clean ed when they were converted to TML ser vice.
