Therefore, while I am sorry to have to be critical, I cannot justify silence in relation to error. Yi'hat Z have said about several: aspects of this matter have been fully documented by my experience ahd by experimental work here and elsewhere. At any rate, I return the Letter with some written-in comments, and I append also a running comment on the contents of the Letter. I trust that what I have said will bo accepted in the spirit in which it has been written, ana that it will be helpful. The profuse experimental work of the past ten or twelve years has created a virtually new knowledge of the physiological and toxicological behavior of lead.
