It also briefly snaarltea the status of Marketing supported Kaylo Product Development programs. PROCESS DEVELOPMENT A- Reir Plant Facility A report, vhieh provides a direct comparison of processes under consideration for installation at the new Southwest facility, vith the advantages and dis advantages of each listed, was prepared and issued. Technical support and consultation vas provided the General Engineering and Manufacturing Divisions. A study is ourrently under way to determine the effect of S10 cylinder pressures f 350 psi (Berlin uses 250 psl SID's) on process time, thruput end product properties. A trip vas Bade to observe first hand the JH filter press process at their plant in Long Beach, California. The filter press process, as developed by JM, is highly automated and requires very few people to operate. A report covering this trip will be Issued by E. Gay. 2. Process 101 (EUsdnation of Mold Release Oil) Large scale experimental production rune of Procesa 101 have been completed. Results reported by the plant indicate Process 101 vill successfully eliminate old oiling for Caylo products at no loss in efficiencies or thruput. Additional costa for additirs lubricant should be more than offaet by reductions in labor, oil, polyethylene and maintenance savings. Conversion to Procsss 101 vill take place May 1st.
