Dear Mr. Robinson:
Thank yon for sending us your copy of the ILZRO manual, "Lead Glazes for Dinnerware", which your Director of Environmental Health, Dr. Jerome F. Cole, forwarded to us. As we became more aware of the vast amount of research data that had been condensed into the manual, we realized that these dedicated scientists would wish us to build on the foundations that they had established.
We plan to promulgate the philosophy expressed by The United States Potters Association and the International Lead Zinc Research Organization as expressed in their manual and other publications: to follow principles which should eliminate the production of food and beverage containers releasing potentially toxic quantities of lead.
Thank you again for your kindness and assistance.
Sincerely
