I am very glad that you found time to write so fully. I believe you will be interested to know that Mr. Hillman's inquiry to you was generated by the fact that he is serving as chairman of a Committee on Childhood Lead Poisoning of the Hew York Paint, Varnish and Lacquer Association by appointment of Mr. Clarence W. Slocum, Presi dent of that Association and Vice President of Devoe & Paynolds. Both of these men and a number of their associates are taking an active and in every way commendable interest in this difficult problem and several of your medical colleagues, including Tony Lanza and George Wheatley, are helping with advice and counsel.
