May 21, 1953 LEAD HYGIENE and SAFETY BULLETIN' No. I'll To Members of the Lead Industries Association MEDICAL EXHIBIT By invitation of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medi cal Association, the undersigned is collaborating with Dr. Randolph K. Byers and Dr. J. Julian Chisolm, Jr,, who are engaged in research under grants from our Association in Boston and Baltimore, respectively, in a medical exhibit with the title CHILDHOOD PLUMBISM at the American Medical Association's 102d annual meeting, to be held in New York City from June 1st to 5th, 1953. This exhibit, described in the Journal of the A.M.A. as "an exposition of the activities of the Lead Industries Association directed toward (a) evaluation of the problem of plumbism in in fants and children, (b) development of means of prevention, (c) promulgation of sound eti ological and diagnostic criteria, and (d) in vestigation of methods of treatment," will occupy Booth 9XU on the fourth floor of the Grand Central Palace, lj80 Lex ington Avenue. The hall will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, and fromt8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on intervening days. Although, again quoting the Journal, "the Scientific Exhibit is presented by doctors for doctors' and not for the general public," nonmedical members of the Lead Industries Association may be assured of admittance by writing to or calling at this office for a special ticket to be exchanged at the Registration Desk for a guest button.
