STYLE RW Flex Seal GASKETS
FOR USE ON ANSI B 16.5 FLANGES (DIMENSIONS BASED ON API STANDARD 601) RAISED FACE, OR FLAT FACE
The standard SEPCO style RW gaskets are constructed of a 304 stainless steel continuous strip spirally wound with a Canadian asbestos filler between plies. This assembly is inserted in a '/" thick carbon steel gauge ring. The sealing section is .175" thick with optimum compression in the range of .130" to .135" to accommodate various flange face finishes.
THE UTILIZATION OF THE GAUGE RING PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING ADVANTAGES:
1. Permits accurate and positive centering of gasket in the llange.
2. Radial strength is increased thereby eliminating
4. Eliminates crushing of gasket sealing section.
Unless otherwise specified all style RW gaskets will be
furnished with carbon steel gauge rings.
A complete stock of standard SEPCO style RW gaskets for
all popular pipe sizes and pressure series up to 2500 psig is
carried for immediate delivery.
SEPCO spiral wound gaskets for use with raised face weld
neck flanges in petroleum refinery piping systems designed
and installed to conform to The American Standard For Steel
Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fittings and A.PA. Standard 601
are available as style RW.

STYLES LMF, LTG AND STG FlexSeal GASKETS
FOR LARGE MALE AND FEMALE FLANGES AND LARGE OR SMALL TONGUE AND GROOVE FLANGE ASSEMBLIES
SEPCO styles LMF, LTG and STG are constructed of 304 stainless steel with a Canadian asbestos filler to a nominal thickness of .125". Thickness of .175" is available on special order. These gaskets are designed and manufactured for all ASA standard flanges up to and including the 2500 lb series.

STYLE KC AND F.2CR Flex Seal GASKETS
FOR BOILER MANHOLE COVER ASSEMBLIES SEPCO style MC and MCR gaskets, (or use on boiler manhole cover assemblies, are designed and manufactured to satisfy two specific ranges of operating steam pressures. These ranges are 0 to S99 psig and 1000 psig and over.
Standard gaskets are constructed of 304 stainless steel continuous strip with'a Canadian asbestos filler.
ORDERING MANHOLE GASKETS The following information should be provided when ordering styles MC and MCR gaskets:
1. Make and model of boiler and/or equipment. 2. Gasket style desired. 3. Dimensions of gasket including thickness, flange,
width and shape. 4. Type of metal desired. 5. Maximum operating temperature and pressure. For pitted or rough surfaces, gaskets with .250" thicknesses should be specified. In addition to the above, when ordering special cover assemblies a sketch or drawing of the cover assembly and mating surfaces with all dimensions given and the minimum width of the seating surfaces should be provided.
NOTE: For gasket materials available and general selection information, See Page 9.
Style MC oval and round gaskets are available in thickness of .175" and .250" with varying flange widths as outlined in the accompanying tables.
Style MCR gaskets are available with a .250" thickness and 13/16" flange width. A .175" spiral wound ring is inserted into the inner groove of this gasket to act as a centering guide.

STYLE HH FlexSeal GASKETS
ROUND OBROUND
FOR BOILER HANDHOLE AND TUBECAP ASSEMBLIES
Standard SEPCO style HH gaskets are designed and manufactured to satisfy two specific ranges of operating pressures. These ranges are 0 to 999 psig and 1000 psig and over. Gaskets are constructed of a 304 stainless steel continuous strip with a Canadian asbestos filler.
Style HH gaskets are available in thicknesses of .125" and .175". Thickness of 250" is available for special conditions such as low bolting loads and pitted surfaces.
Other metallic alloys and fillers are available where conditions require resistance to corrosive action. See page 9 for materials available.

The SEPCO style LW gasket, incorporates an integrar centering guide, to assure fast accurate centering of the gasket on the flange. These gaskets can be utilized with ease on raised face, flat face and van stone or lap joint flanges.
Style LW gaskets are constructed of 304 stainless steel continuous strip with a Canadian asbestos filler between plies. The nominal thickness for all sizes is .175".
Standard gaskets are designed and manufactured to meet all standard llange specifications.
NOTE. 1. This gasket type must be used on a flange with an equal
number of bolts. 2- For gasket materials available and general selection
information see Page 9.

MATERIALS AVAILABLE
FILLERS: The standard filler used between the plies of the
metallic strip is Canadian asbestos. Ceramic, T.F.E., Flexible
Graphite and Glass filled T.F.E.
METALS: Standard metals include type 304 stainless steel.
Other metals available for special applications include:
special alloys: Carpenter 20, Copper, Hastelloy B. Hastelloy
C, Inconel. Inconel X, Monel, Nickel, Phosphor Bronze.
Titanium A-55 and Stainless Steel types 309SCB, 310, 316L,
321. 347 and 430.
CONSTRUCTION:
General: The SEPCO FlexSeal gaskets are constructed of a
continuous strip of preformed metal spirally wound from the
inside to the outside with a suitable cushion filler inserted between each ply.
Special: Various accessories to the standard gasket are
available to satisfy particular conditions. Specifically, carbon
steel gauge rings and centering guides to facilitate accurate
and positive centering on the flange. In addition, the gauge
ring increases the radial strength of the assembly. Various
configurations other than circular are available to satisfy
boiler handhole, manhole and tubecap assemblies.
SELECTION:
Pipe Flange Applications: Available in the following basic
'designs: Styles RW, LMF, LTG, STG and LW. Each design is
described in preceding sections. The application, including
flange type, operating temperature and pressure and media
to be confined will determine the proper style selection.
Standard gaskets are available for all standard flanged fittings up to 24" and 2500 psig.
Inquiries should contain the following information: (1) Pipe size (2) Type of flange or joint (3) Operating conditions (a) Temperature (b) Pressure (c) Media (4) SEPCO gasket style
Boiler Manhole Cover: Available as style MC and MCR. The MCR assembly is furnished with a spiral wound centering ring.
When seating surfaces are in satisfactory condition, gasket ^thickness of .175" should be specified.
For pitted or rough surfaces, gaskets with a .250" thickness should be specified.
Specials: Non-standard gaskets required for special service and application conditions can be designed and supplied upon receipt of complete specifications outlining all operating and service information.
Also available are gaskets manufactured to military specifications MIL-G-16265, MIL-G-21032 and MllG-15342.
Gaskets may be color coded upon request.
