PAIRED PUMP ROTATIONS Spared pumps exist on both tanks. Pump swap calculations are written for each pair of pumps to provide the following features: 1. Pump usage will be alternated. Each time the pumps are shut down, the pump priorities will swap. 2. Automatic sparing is available. If the primary pump shuts down, the spare pump automatically starts. For VFD pumps, the fault indicator is used to indicate a pump has shut down. 3. An alarm alerts the operator if the automatic sparing takes place. Alarm must be reset manually with the appropriate DM as indicated on the alarm panel. 4. The operator can manually rotate the pump usage by using the appropriate DM as indicated on the graphics. 5. Both pumps will run under certain programmed conditions. 6.
