Dale, Assistant Director, Department of Chapters SUBJECT: Conference Program DATE: April 11, 1972 Attached please find your copy of the invitation and program for the "Midwest Regional Conference on Childhood Lead Poisoning" which you agreed to participate in. We sincerely hope that you find the program up to the task of calling attention to the problem of Lead Poisoning and offering a step toward the goal of eradicating this disease. We feel it is. As the program indicates, the conference will be at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago on May 10-11. Those who require lodging will please return the notification form at the base of the program and a room will be secured for you. As previously men tioned, the Academy will reimburse you for any expense incurred in attending the conference. All that is required is that we be notified of the amount following the conference. Your room may be signed for. If your role in the conference calls for the delivery of a formal paper, this office would greatly appreciate receiving it by May 1st. This will aid the press in covering the meeting and facilitate publication of the conference's proceedings. Since you are involved with the problem of lead poisoning, you undoubtedly are in contact with other individuals who share your concern. If you think they would be interested in attending the program, we would be happy to send them an invitation. Please forward us their names and addresses.
