Skyland Resort in Shenandoah National Park, Luray, VA (Skyline Drive between Mile 41.7 & 42.5). Skyland is at Skyline Drive's highest elevation -3,680 feet - and the Appalachian Trail runs right through the resort. Lodging accommodations range from small, rustic cabins to comfortable preferred room to newly renovated premium rooms, some with suites and fireplaces. Pet-friendly rooms are available. While there are no in-room phones, cell service is available depending on your provider.
An ATM, gift shop, and the Mountain Taproom are in the dining room building. Free, family-friendly entertainment is presented nightly. Guided horseback rides depart daily from the Skyland Stables. A map of the complex is attached

Our meeting will begin on the morning of Monday, April 24, with coffee and a limited breakfast beginning at 8 AM. The meeting will begin at 9 AM and will continue through lunch, concluding by 1:30 PM. Additional details on the meeting will be furnished to participants, annual meeting and election of Board members.
Rooms are available at Skyland Resort ranging in cost from $120 to $220 per night - but availability is limited since spring is a popular time at the park. ORIR has a block of rooms but you MUST reserve your room by Friday April 21. Transportation: Shenandoah National Park is located 75 miles west of Washington, DC. The park entrance most likely for access to Skyland is the Thornton Gap Entrance Station (Mile 31.5 of Skyline Drive), accessible via U.S. 211 (15 minutes from downtown Luray). The park entrance fee is $25 (for 7 days). Travel time from Dulles International Airport is likely to be under two hours;
