Since that time other reports concerning PCBs have been published. An examination of the PCB matter has indicated that their use in certain applications may be a source of the alleged environmental contamina tion. Monsanto has sol d PCB-contai ni ng materi als for i ndustri al use under the trade name of Aroclor . In view of the allegations which have been made concerning PCBs, and being a concerned and responsible member of the community, we have come to a decision to discontinue the sale of PCB-containing products for industrial applications effective August 30, 1970. The products concerned are Aroclor 1242, Aroclor 1248, Aroclor 1254 and Aroclor 1260. Recognizing that this action may cause you some inconveniences, we suggest you contact our 1 ocal representative to discuss your applications.
