The purpose of this hearing is to begin the Committee's bipartisan development of the next surface transportation reauthorization bill. This hearing is the first in a two-part series of hearings focused on that legislation. The Committee will receive testimony on the Trump Administration's priorities for that bill. To maximize the opportunity to discuss this matter with you, we ask that your oral testimony be limited to five minutes. Your written testimony can be comprehensive and will be included in its entirety in the printed record of the hearing together with any other materials you would like to submit. Please e-mail a copy of your testimony to Karly McQuitty@epw.senate.gov no later than 48 hours in advance of the hearing. If you plan to use or refer to any charts, graphs, diagrams, photos, maps or other exhibits in your testimony, please include an identical copy as an attachment in your advance submissions. Exhibits that are not provided to the Committee 48 hours before the hearing cannot be used for the purpose of presenting your testimony. Due to time constraints, there are often questions that members of the Committee are unable to ask during the hearing. The Committee offers Senators the ability to submit Questions for Record. After the hearing, we will send those questions to you and we ask that you please provide responses within the deadline specified. Those questions, along with your answers, will be entered into the record for the hearing. If you have any questions about this invitation or the hearing, please feel free to contact Adam Tomlinson, Majority Staff Director, at b)(6) or Dan Dudis, Minority Staff Director, at (b)(6) Sincerely, Shelley Moord.Capito Chairman fAlt4141 4/14---- Sheldon Whitehouse Ranking Member Sierra Club v.
