Reference: Fire Proofing VCM Plant
Gentlemen:
We are pleased to submit our proposal for furnishing labor, materials, tools, equipment, scaffolding, insurance and supervision to fire proof various items in accordance with the following specifications:
A, Green - Top Deck QXY Structure
The support beams will be boxed in on two sides and the bottom with 3/4" black painted HiRib lath bent to the shape of the beams and banded in place with 3/4" stainless steel bands on 2' centers. We will then apply 2" of Detrick Company's Pyroscat fire proofing material. The first layer of fire proofing will be applied rough and the surface scratched for application of the second coat.
The two bottom edges of the support beams will have galvanized corner beads wired in place with stainless steel tie wire.
After fire proofing has set up, top edges of beam will be flashed with caulking compound.
Should any steel grating need to be removed and/or replaced same shall be done by VCM.
All circled columns in green will be boxed in and fire proofed with 2" of Pyroscat and all four corners will have corner beading.
B. Yellow - Reactor Supports
The reactor supports shall be boxed in completely and fire proofed with 2" of Pyroscat. All four corners on the reactor support beams

shall receive corner beading.
C. Red - Bottom Level Stanchions
Bottom of stanchions will be fire proofed in accordance with the structural members in the OXY Structure.

In accordance with the technical information supplied by the M. H. Detrick Company, 2" of Pyroscat will give an approximate fire resistive rating of four hours.
TERMS:
90% of all labor and/or materials delivered and/or installed shall be due and payable every 30 days.
Our prices are based on a standard 40 hour work week. Any authorized over time worked, the premium portion shall be for the account of Continental VCM plus applicable taxes.
Should you award us this contract we can begin assembling of materials and mechanics and start work within five days after notice of award.
