The inspection occurred jointly with the EPA Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and for-cause for suspected distribution or sale of unregistered pesticides. FACILITY DESCRIPTION Myllenn, LLC dba My Sasun African Grocery is a company that is incorporated and doing business in the state of Texas. Texas Secretary of State records indicate that Myllenn, LLC is currently active. According to the company, it employs 20-25 employees and earns an estimated $1.8 million in annual revenue. The company has two facilities in Celina, Texas, and Houston, Texas. The facility located at 1922 Choate Parkway, Suite 135, Celina, Texas 75009 is the subject of this inspection report. Section II - OBSERVATIONS I, EPA Region 6 inspector Justin Mullenix arrived at My Sasun African Grocery, on March 12, 2025, at approximately 10:55 AM. I met with an EPA CID agent and received an initial briefing before we entered the facility. I was introduced to Lara Ajetomobi, the owner/director of My Sasun African Grocery. I presented Ms. Ajetomobi my federal credential and a Notice of Inspection which she signed. I informed Ms. Ajetomobi of the nature of a FIFRA civil enforcement inspection and asked her some questions about My Sasun African Grocery. Ms. Ajetomobi explained that while My Sasun African Grocery acts as a retailer of grocery and household products from Africa, it does not act as the importer of these products. Ms. Ajetomobi explained that companies like My Sasun African Grocery coordinate with buyers in African who then source products from open markets. These products are then imported into the United States in mixed freight shipping containers. Ms. Ajetomobi stated that she didn't know or have records of the port(s) of entry or the trucking companies involved in the logistics of the products delivered to My Sasun African Grocery. I asked Ms. Ajetomobi if she had invoices associated with the delivery of any pesticidal products, and she stated that that she did not have such records due to the length of time that had transpired since the delivery of any pesticidal products to My Sasun African Grocery, which she estimated to be sometime in 2023. I asked if My Sasun African Grocery maintains records of distribution or sale to its clients and Ms. Ajetomobi confirmed that it does, explaining that sales occur both in-person at the facility and online through its website. Ms. Ajetomobi then provided some general information about My Sasun African Grocery including its size of business, locations, and website (URL: https://mysasun.com/). 2 Myllenn, LLC / My Sasun African Grocery Inspection Date 3/12/2025 After the initial interview with Ms. Ajetomobi, I entered the product warehouse portion of the facility where EPA CID and National Enforcement Investigations Center (NEIC) staff were conducting inspection and sampling activities. I was led by an EPA CID agent to the location of several pesticidal products of interest being held for distribution or sale. I noted that none of these pesticidal products of interest appeared to be registered with EPA by virtue of their lack of EPA Registration Numbers and EPA Establishment Numbers. I then conducted a search for other FIFRA-regulated products being held elsewhere in the warehouse. I encountered the following FIFRA-regulated pesticidal products being held for distribution or sale at My Sasun African Grocery, all of which appeared to be unregistered with EPA: - Dabur Advanced Odomos Mosquito Repellent Cream - Flyforce - Green Leaf Powder Cockroach and Ant Killing Bait - Jik Multipurpose Bleach - Lidegao Cockroach and Ant - Pestox 2% Cypermethrin - Pushout Rat Poison - Raid Multi-purpose Insect Killer - Sniper 1000EC DDVP - Sniper Cockroach Killer - Sniper Crawling Insect Killer - Sniper Flying Insect Killer - Sniper Multipurpose Insect Killer - Tetmosol Protect Plus Antiseptic Disinfectant - Viva Plus Laundry Sanitizer Upon photographing the above-mentioned products, I returned to Ms. Ajetomobi and requested that she provide distribution or sales records for each of the products. Ms. Ajetomobi and I proceeded to her computer where she printed off one record of distribution or sale for each of the products except for "Raidforce Brodifacoum 0.005%" which purportedly had no records of distribution or sale. I informed Ms. Ajetomobi about the follow up that would occur regarding my issuance of an inspection report and a possible Stop Sale, Use or Removal Order (SSURO) and/or civil monetary penalty. I then prepared a Receipt for Samples for the photographs and records collected during the inspection, and provided a copy of it, as well as the Notice of Inspection, to Ms. Ajetomobi. Finally, Ms. Ajetomobi was provided copies of a Confidential Business Information (CBI) notice and an EPA Small Business Resources Information Sheet. My inspection concluded at approximately 2:00 PM.
