BONNETT, MD EMPLOYEE RELATIONS DEPARTMENT N-HWO REPORT OF X-RAYS ON ASBESTOS FOLLOW-UP CASES Jid*' Your memo of July IS, 1981 In response to one written by me on 6/26/81 regarding x-ray reports on asbestos follow-up cases suggests that follow-up cases be sent to Dr. Allan In the Medical Division for interpretation. Please be advised that this has been an ongoing practice for quite sane tine by Edge Moor. I might suggest that It would be a good Idea If In all cases where Identified radiological changes that could be attributed to asbestoa exposure have been confirmed by pulmonary specialist, a rubber stamp notation be used on the x-ray report sheet accompa nying the films. This stamp could read: A "ASBESTOS-RELATED X-RAY FINDINGS CONFIRMED" This would totally negate the need for reiterating unnecessary wording and that would allow the radiologist to Indicate whether there. Is any change or whether the condition la atable.
