It will be the job of this department to study new products developed by the Research Laboratories or offered to the Company. Merchandising possibilities of new items will be investigated, markets explored and trade acceptance established, after which the products will be turned over to the branches or divisions to which they logically belong. In addition to his new duties, Mr. Merson will continue as head of Oxide Sales. PFOUTZ NAMED TITANIUM PRODUCTION MANAGER C. Y. Pfoutz has been appointed production manager of the Titanium Division of the Company, with headquarters in Hew York City. Mr. Pfoutz has been manager of the Titanium plant at Carondelet, Mo. He joined the Company in September, 1933. Leo L. Lewis, plant superintendent at Carondelet, has been named superintendent in full charge of all operations at the Carondelet plant. Mr. Lewis completed his 21st year with the Company on April 15. - ------ -- PACIFIC COAST BRANCH APPOINTMENTS W. P. Pedigo has been named supervisor of "Dutch Boy" Paint Stores on the___ Pacific Coast. Mr. Pedigo joined the Company as a salesman in 1929 and later managed "Dutch Boy" stores in several California cities. He has been sales manager of the branch's central division since August, 1944. E. G. Qrling succeeds Mr. Pedigo as central division sales manager. Mr. Orling joined the Company in 1938. He was made assistant manager of the Cleveland Branch in March, 1942 and was transferred to the Pacific Coast Branch seven months later. , Mr. Orling served in the paint section of the 0. S. Maritime Commission from: March 31* 1943 until August 20, 1945. H. E. MacCleary, who joined the Pacific Coast Branch early this year, has been' made manager of the Wallpaper and Sundries Department of the branch, the appointment being effective May 15.
