A) Assume existing tie-in points T-1 and T-2 have adequate pipe existing to tie new pipe onto. B) We propose to use prefabricated manhole catch basins nominal size of 24,IX24"X32" deep with bottom and top. Cost $375.00 each. C) Assume elevations of existing duetbanks do not interfer with routing of new 12"0 drain pipe. D) Assume little or no hand excavation around ex isting duetbanks. E) Assume purchase of 60 cy's of fill clay to re place scrap dirt, pipe and slit in existing sewer to be removed from points J-2 and T-2. F) Assume purchase of 20 tons of limestone to re place on road 2 incTfes thick. G) Assume 4 man crew - 5-8 hr. work days to complete proj ect. This proposal, we believe, will give you more flexibility with respect to underground obstructions (i.e. electrical ductbanks and existing pipe). Alternate No. 1 is based on the following conditions. A) Use of 3 ea. prefabricated manholes as shown on sketch 7To. 1. B) Allowance for hand excavation under existing ductbanks and pipe to achieve proper water flow. C) Removal of existing abandon sewer line between J-3 and T-2 and purchase of new clay fill and limestone for surface of road. D) Assume tie-in points T-l and T-2 will require some modifications to allow for new tie-ins. E) Assume 4 man crew - 2 wks to complete excavation, backfilT and installation of new pipe and catch basins. Total cost of Alternate No. 1 above is: Twelve thousand Eight hundred dollars & No/100------------------------------------------ 12,800. ouTT Again Alternate No. 1 takes into account the possibility of lost time due to unknown underground obstructions, bad pipe at tie-in points, replacement and compaction of dirt around new corrugated pipe. We believe that the true cost should be somewhere between the base bid cost and Alternate No. 1. We would be happy to dis cuss our proposal with you further. From area (4) to area (3) this is considered area (5) a 12" line continuing to an al ready existing tie-in point. We will include removal of all spoiled dirt and old pipe from the site to another location in the plant. Place ment of all new dirt in the ditch and new area limestone, for the road and proper drainage at the Catch Basin. The elevations of the Electrical Duct Banks are unknown. We have considered them to be at an elevation where pro per drainage cannot be achieved and excessive digging may be required. 12" pipe will be corrugated, galvinized, with tar coating. 4" pipe will be carbon steel coated and wrapped. Catch Basins - pre-formed 32" deep 2' X 2' with grating on the tops. Limestone will be 3/4" road base grade. Conditions at tie-in points are unknown. Assume the Worst! CuH (>0 033,
