We can no longer tolerate using the new American Brakeblok finished lining (center) thickness specifications. When the shoe is ground to these specifications, in many cases, the brake drum cannot be reinstalled on the vehicle. Our production brake shoe grinders can only handle removing no more than .020 stock to a finished lining (center) thickness per pass on the grinding belt.
