r
hazards in industry
a N-hexana, polyvinyl chlorida, banzana, carbamataa,
soma sulfa compounds as naw hazards.
A quastion of taratoganicity was raisad concaming the naw hazard chamicals and I suggastad that tha significant toxic proparty of thosa chamicals was not taratoganicity. Howavar, I would raviaw it and call him bach.
A second call was mada to ma on 9 July 1982. -I con firmed that taratoganicity was not tha most significant hazard of tha chamicals listed; raf. "Patty's Industrial Hygians and Toxicology* and *Chssiical Hazards In Tha workplace.*
Tha ehsaiesls wars dascribsd to him as follows:
s N-haxsne - solvsnt industrial glus. Naurotoxic
hazard. a Polyvinyl chlorida - baaie material for aynthatic
reaina. Has bean associated with increased incidence
of tumors. a Banzana - industrial solvent and byproduct in many
processes. Associated with blood diseasas. a Carbamates - fungicides, rubber accelerator, etc.
Soma evidence for taratoganicity in animalsi i.a.,
rats and mica st high doses. a Sulfa compounds - s large category off chemicals, in
cluding many compounds that cannot ba specifically
categorized as a group.
