Your referral of seven men to me. In the last two months, for
consideration as to the presence of lead poisoning has led me
to runmarize ray findings on all the men sent me in the last
three years* These findings are tabulated on the a
snoot.
Four principal conclusions may be drawn from .this study* The first is that while it is possible for seme men to work in the booth for months without developing lead poisoning, it does not seem possible to so work without absorbing significant amounts 'Of lead* The second is that men, with routine protection, may
develop acute lead poisoning in as short a.period as two months. The third is that men working on the line outside the booth have a definite load exposure, and there*is some suggestion thal -this exposure is getting worse, with one man developing lead ?poisoning this month after four months exposure, and. another an 5anemia with high blood and urine lend levels after six months exposure. The last conclusion is that effective methods of controlling the h&sard have not been introduced yet.
