Dear Mr. Jones* I hasten to reply to your letter of June 22, and to acknow ledge the receipt of a copy of your letter to Dr. Edelman. Incidentally, I think It Is advisable to mark all correspon dence conceding this project as confidential rather than* restricted. According to Information received at the time of ray visit, the entire project at present involves the manufacture of 450 pounds of the desired material. It may be,of course, that the manufacture will continue beyond this point, but there is no evidence at present that thi3 will be the case. I have only one other comment to make, and that refers to the use of dye in this tetraethyl lead. It would be ray feeling that if there is any objection to the dye on the part of the purchaser, it could well be omitted. The labeling of the cans is adequate otherwise, and these people are accustomed to handling even more dangerous chemicals.
