Hearing Officer Elizabeth Elwin presided. Kenneth Lexier, Esquire appeared with his client, Sheilah McLaughlin, Esquire appeared on behalf of Travelers Insurance Company, the workers' compensation carrier. Hearing Officer Elwin evaluated the facts of this case and questioned counsel about the propriety of the proposed settlement. Counsel confirmed that the terms of the lump sum settlement obligated the Travelers to issue a $4,000.00 check to Sherwin-Williams out of the proceeds of : $50,000.00 lump sum settlement in satisfaction of the overpayment made to by Sherwin-Williams. This money will be sent to you soon. Hearing Officer ElWin approved the settlement for $50,000.00 to and a $5,000.00 attorney's fee payable to Attorney Lexier. I enclose a copy of the Workers' Compensation Board's Lump Sum Settlement Form.
