Harris April 5, 1973 The vinyl chloride (monomer) and polyvinyl chloride (polymer) industry is funding an epidemiological study of the industry to be carried out by the thoroughly competent firm of Tabershaw and Cooper. The study will be carried out without inspection of medical records or contact with the labor force. They will microfilm the personnel summary card of those employees who have had some exposure to vinyl chloride monomer vapors. This will involve only our Painesville and Monochem plants. Both Chemical and Borden management are familiar with the program plan ned and are supporting it. It is important that Dr. McCleary have a telegram in MCA's office by Friday, April 16, giving Uniroyal approval.
