She L.X.A. has received opinions frem numer ous eminent medical authorities that dispute Patterson's allegations. They would, however, like to have the geological considerations analyzed. Perhaps a representative of the Ethyl Cor poration may have telephoned you regarding thi3 by new. At any rate, ve would like to have your comenta on this and also any further remarks and suggestions you may have to offer with respect to the possibilities of distinguishing between industrial and non-industrial lead through the study of isotopes. The L.Z.A. considers it essential that, for the present, their investiga tions remain confidential. Consequently, I ask that you bear this in mind and not make pointed reference to the subject except, perhaps, with any of your staff members you say wish to have help you. The L.X.A. is quietly marshalling its re buttal to Patterson's and other such articles and feels it needs to have it well organized by early November.
