THE GENERAL OPERATING FUND IS THE PRIMARY FUND FOR THE ASSOCIATION. FINANCING IS BY ASSESSMENT! 72% OF WHICH MAS RAISED ON PIG LEAD SAUtS IN THE UNITED STATES. EXPENSES FALL INTO TWO MOOR CATEGORIESI * - 1. ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS ACCOUNTED FOR 35% OF THE TOTAL EXPENSES. 2. PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT EXPENSE AS PRESENTLY REPORTED i f > THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT ACCOUNTED FOR 65% OF THE TOTAL EXPENSES. HOWEVER, IF IN-HOUSE COSTS WERE ALLOCATED TO THESE PROJECTS, THIS CATEGORY WOULD ACCOUNT FOR SLIGHTLY MORE THAN 90%. t. THE OSKA FUND WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1976 TO SUPPORT A PROGRAM AIMED AT DEFENDING AGAINST THE DRASTIC ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES PREDICTED IF OSHA'S PROPOSED LEAD STANDARD HAS ADOPTED.
