The "rights" to Elastrel Insecticide have been sold by AT&T to Fermenta Animal Health Company. The only differ ence in the product Is the label. We will continue to use this insecticide. (See Attachment 1.) The Union reported that Union Local 6222 has not registered addi tional complaints or supplied information relating to alleged Elastrel problems. 2. The Company will publish and distribute a comprehensive Asbestos practice shortly. The Union will be provided with an advance copy as soon as it is approved. 3. A new ladder stabilizing strap has been made available as an option, replacing rope lashing at the bottom of the ladder. It is made of velcro and eliminates the use of knots. SWBT 001028 2 4. A new continuous gas monitor is now available. It contains an audible alarm indicating the presence of combustibles. It also monitors the oxygen supply. Although it could be used for pre-tests, its purpose is not purging and ventilating. It is used when working with fusion splicing associated with fibeoptic plant. Fusion splicing involves a small spark which could be dangerous if combustibles are present in the manhole. 5. Cumulative Safety Results through June 1988 were distri buted and reviewed. There have been no occupational or nonoccupational fatalities. Results are good thus far. (See Attachment 2.) 6. The next meeting date is undetermined at present.
