D R A F T (To customers who did not return signed copy of March 6, 1972 letter.) Ytv&'A Dear Sir: In March, 1972 I requested confirmation that you had discontinued , _>fche use of all Therminol FR series heat transfer fluids in your plants. Since I received no response from you I have concluded that youfoave) chosen to continue to use these fluids in your opera tions. Recently the Food and Drug Administration published in the Federal Register a final rule making order regulating the presence of poly chlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in establishments processing animal feed, food-packaging material and food. I have attached a copy for your use. As you know, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are present in Therminol FR fluids. ______fts;-h**> (') It seems appropriate at this time to re-evaluate your(decision^ to insure that your operations are in compliance with this new regulation. If we can be of further service in this matter, please do not hestiate to let me know. Sincerely, C. Paton Product Manager Heat Transfer, Dielectrics and Process Fluids 05*93!>8 PCB-ARCH0745125
