See attached memorandum to C. B. Burnett from F. J. Solon,Jr., with Task Force - Hill & Knowlton recommendations for new activities:
1. The formation of a Mineral Fiber Research Institute initially involving companies in the asbestos and fiber glass industries.
2. The establishment of a Research Library on asbestos and fiber glass.
In view of recent research activity in Canada and of reports presented at three health-oriented scientific meetings held in December, action on the recommendations has been postponed to await further developments.
Meantime, in order to give as complete a picture as possible of all current asbestos-oriented health research activities, the Task Force plans development of a chart presentation.

The Task Force will continue to monitor all medical writings, speeches, press releases, etc., as well as press clips from the U. S. and Canada. In the future, significant materials from this collection will be appended to the regular 60-day report.
