Shipyard Repairs: All Approved Items have been opened and are working on schedule. 2. Ship's Force a,, Vessel arrived docking at 1130 1st April 1975 berth #4,,. Testing of Safety valvesby U.S.C. 6. and other equipment was started, some three days where spent with the Inspectors testing Fire and Lifesaving equipment, At present we are 90% completed. b. 2-f days where spent mucking scale from tables including bunkers. c. All stores where removed from Stewards storeromm, Galley Soogeied and equipment secured, all drapes removed and sent ashore for cleaning with ship's dirty laundry. d. Mr O'Neal reports repairs by ship"s force in engineroom 25% completed. e. All valves in tanks number #5 & # 4 have been repacked. f. Stewards Storeromm, Crews dryingroom crews laundry'have been soogied and painted completly out except for the decks. g. Scaling and priming under forecastlehead is underway. h. Scaling of starboard brige wings underside is started. Cooperation from the shipyard uneder Mr Beirt Minton Supersor is on schedule and excellent so far. Mr Alton Burns, Repair inspector has been of tremendous help, extremely knowledgeable, persuasive and cooperative. At the moment we appear to be following the schedule of events as laid out by Mr Burns. No outstanding problems thus far. For the most part the weather has been poor, high winds last week -with two days of sunshine but cold this week. No items have yet been completed or closed out.
