Kehoe University of Cincinnati Department of Preventative Medicine & Industrial Health Cincinnati, Ohio, Dear Dr. Kehoe: Dr. George Martelon of our Bridgeport plant has forwarded to us a copy of yrur letter to him dated June A, 1962. Since he wrote to you primarily concerning our problems here in Edmore he has turned over further arrangements to us. Our problems are really twofold here in Edmore*. (1) Mercury vapor - we are using large amounts of mercury as a recycled carrier in a 'chemical electrodeposition process. A great deal of our concern is over spillage due to equip ment not being automated adequately at this time. (2) Lead dust - There is a considerable amount of lead dust hazard due to powder metallurgy process involving a metallic mixture of lead, and iron, cobalt and antimony. This operation is all being done at room temperature. As we have been on vacation shutdown during part of July I postponed requesting your consultation visit until sometime in August.
