We felt like it was an extremely productive meeting. Unfortunately, I have a request for another meeting with Administrator Pruitt for the first week of May. I assure you it will be my last request for a considerable amount of time. I know how valuable the Administrator's time is and I don't want to wear out my welcome. But I believe this will be a meaningful meeting for all parties. Officials of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) will be in Washington for meetings on May 2 and 3 and would very much like to meet with Administrator Pruitt. CAPP is the Canadian equivalent of API, and CAPP member companies produce 85% of Canada's oil and natural gas. CAPP's CEO Tim McMillan will be accompanied by CAPP's incoming Board of Governors Chair Rob Dutton (President, Devon Canada) and CAPP's current Board of Governors Chair Mike Gatens (CEO, UGR Blair Creek). My partner Justin Meyers and I will also be with him. The purpose of the meeting would be for the CAPP officials to gain a better understanding of the environmental regulatory rollback in the United States relating to the oil and gas sector. I believe the CAPP CEO's would benefit greatly from hearing about Administrator Pruitt's priorities for regulatory rollback. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance.
