METHOD
Method: OECD 209 Test type:Staticacute GLP: No Inoculum source: MetroWaste TreatmentPlant,St Paul,MN. lnoculum holding:None - used theday itwas obtained. Inoculum MLSS: 4.3g/L. Year Completed: 1992 Analyticamlonitoring:Dissolvedoxygen concentrations. Exposure Period:30-minutesand 3-hours Measurements: Dissolvedoxygen depletiornateafter30-minutesand 3hours ofexposure.
RESULTS
Nominal concentrations:Blank controlsand 1000 mg/L testmaterial solutioni,nduplicate.
Element value:30-minand 3-hourEC50 > 1000 mg/L
Allelement valuesbased on nominalconcentrations.
Inhibitioninrespirationrate:After3-hoursexposure,the mean of both replicatewsas 17.3% inhibitiaotn 1000 mg/L
Control response: The largestpercentdifferencbeetween controluptake rateswas 1.5%; thusthetwo controlswere within15% ofeach other.
Referencseubstanceresults3:,5-dichloropahteanocloncentratoifon 10 mg/L induced57% inhibitiionrespiratiornate.Thiswas withinthe normal range seen inthislaboratorwyiththisinoculum.
