Let me repeat that, while elation therapy is just about all we have of ways of treating lead poisoning, it has not teen highly successful in combatting or prevent ing illness.. It is, in fact, quite disappoint ing in many instances. We continue to use it in the treatment of persons, children and adults, who have lead poisoning, because it is the best we have, but there is virtually no justification for the prophylactic therapy of persons, children or adults, who have an increased lead burden but no illiiess.
