I believe these procedures are described sufficiently for your purposes, but if there are any other items of specific information which you would like to ha\'e now or later, please let me know. It is not our intention to multiply the severity of the experimental conditions over those associated with the normal use of the product. The crucial issue would appear to be the degree, if any, of the absorption of lead through the skin of the scalp, and we believe the conditions are severe enough to answer this question positively or negatively. This is regarded by ourselves as the first step in the investigation. It may be all that is required, or it may be that a further experiment (or further experiments) will be required, should the results be somewhat less than conclusive on the main point.
