This meeting follows a discussion we held with your colleagues before the summer break together with KU Leuven. Our background is that you would like to discuss in more detail the recycling/Circular Economy models and conclusions from our KU Leuven Metals for Clean Energy study in view of the Commission's work on new raw materials legislation. As reminder, please find attached the slides we had presented in that previous meeting and the policymaker summary of KU Leuven's Metals for Clean Energy report for any meeting preparation. Instead of going through all the slides, we'd suggest the below agenda focused on more of a discussion. Reflecting your portfolio, we also propose including a linked point on raw materials and the REACH review, as the Commission is developing both in parallel (and several chemicals files are interacting with investment priorities in energy transition metals, c.f. lithium).
