You always say you (Carbide) has nothing to hide and welcomes any investigations. If so, publically tell the people, (or tell me) how many tanks are in this tank farm, what chemicals each tank holds, and what health hazards they pose.
Tell what would happen if there was a fire close to any of the tanks.
Is it true, if there was a fire that sparked any of the tanks, it would automatically clear a two mile radius?
Is there a procedure in case of a fire?
How or could the people evacuate fast enough? If not, do you agree we live too close?
Do you think we live too close anyway?
Do you have a number to clear the RR tracks. No one can be reached in the evenings by numbers in the phone book.
What are the federal regulations on each chemical?
How do we know you are going by regulations? We feel we cannot trust Carbide because we have been lied to and because we feel this has gone on for too long.
You have a skeleton crew on weekends. Do they know what to do in an emergency? Calling someone in takes too long. They should be trained.
The train cars carrying chemicals must be vented, such as the tanks. Are these chemicals vented into the air?
What health hazards do these chemicals pose: 1. sulphuric acid 2. dymathol formamide 3. spent ethylene
What happens if the above chemicals are shook up?
On 8-29^82 Saturday evening, a man (Carbide) was on a train car in the Carbide property releasing a valve on top. The chemicals were coming out of the top. This went on for at least five minutes. The whole riverbank and 33rd street smelled. Why?
8-30-82 I smelled chemicals all evening at my house on 31st street.

on 8-30-82 Tuesday, a whistle lasted for 49 minutes. After 5 minutes Mrs. Navy called and was told Carbide was having a drill. After 35 minutes she called and talked to Mr. Thompson, he didn't know, but a whistle must be stuck. After 49 minutes Mr. Thompson called back and said they were bleeding a line and he had them stop. Again, X want to point out that we are getting chemical combinations, and at our last meeting we were told combinations had not been checked. Why are the people being put through guinea pig tests then? We were also told before you were not allowed to test these chemicals on people. What are we? Can this ever be cleared up or are we fighting a losing battle? For every one thing you find, two more things go wrong. Would Carbide Real Estate office be willing to sell our homes with no cost to us for selling them? After all. Carbide Is the reason we must leave?
