Coldiron Sweeney Sandstedt The ironworkers from the Trenton Local are on strike. It was planned to start field erection of the Incinerator Steel on 8/15/78. Also to be erected was the pipe rack steel at the Incinerator Area. As of this date, no settlement has been reached. The SubContractor for erecting the steel has been to the local union to see if anyway could be done to allow the steel erection to proceed. The local union flatly refused him to proceed even on a retroactive basis. We are pursuing the possibility of switching sub-contractors to one with a national agreement with the Ironworkers. This is in the formative state and will depend upon further negotiations between our contractor and sub-contractor and the local union. If the strike continues another week or so, then we will be looking at the possibility of cutting back pipefitters and electricians on the job.
